Vladislav Golovin is the Chief of General Staff of the All-Russia “Young Army” Military Patriotic Social Movement (Yunarmiya). He takes an active part in the militarisation of Ukrainian children in the illegally occupied territories of Ukraine. He also spreads pro-Russian sentiments as well as anti-Ukrainian narratives, and encourages children to join Yunarmiya. He actively participated in Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, including by leading Russian forces during their capture of the city of Mariupol. Therefore, Vladislav Golovin is supporting and implementing actions and policies which undermine and threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine. Furthermore, he is associated with Yunarmiya.

A career Russian military officer. From the start of the invasion, he fought with the 382nd Battalion of the 810th Naval Infantry Brigade. In March 2022, Golovin commanded a platoon within the 382nd Battalion of the 810th Naval Infantry Brigade during the operation to capture Mariupol. Following heavy losses suffered by the Russian army, he assumed command of the company and subsequently the battalion. Golovin recounted that his unit received orders to conduct "clearing operations" in the city's residential districts. He was severely wounded in May 2022, losing his right leg, and was awarded the title of Hero of Russia that autumn. In 2024, he joined the first cohort of the "Time of Heroes" program, and in December, he took charge of "Yunarmiya" (Young Army). Under Golovin's leadership, Yunarmiya continued to steer its members toward service in the military and security agencies. In March 2025, he reported that 122,000 of the movement's graduates and mentors had pursued careers in security agencies, while 12,000 had participated in the war against Ukraine.
