Summary
Tanker ship involved in deliveries of refined petroleum or related products to the DPRK, including via ship-to-ship transfer with the "Mu Bong 1" (IMO: 8610461) in June 2018. Spoofed as the "Vi Fin"/"Vifin"(MMSI: 334191000) in November-December 2020 and May 2021. "As a further red flag indicator, the Xing Ming Yang 888 also used a fraudulent call-sign 9LU2843 that was formerly associated with another vessel that delivered refined petroleum to the DPRK, Vifine (IMO: 9045962)." Sailing "unknown" flagged since November 2018.
The identifiers of this vessel were fraudulently used by the "Xing Ming Yang 888" (IMO: 8410847) since May 2021, while also broadcasting the call sign 9LU2843, formerly associated with the direct delivery vessel "Vifine" (IMO: 9045962).
