Canada is imposing sanctions against 29 individuals, including Kremlin-linked billionaires and their family members, senior regional officials in Russia's Tatarstan region and their family members and business executives, who are involved in the confiscation and redistribution of property and assets of foreign companies in Russia as punishment for their criticism of its unjustified war against Ukraine. Canada is also sanctioning an individual who works closely with President Putin in disseminating the Kremlin's war propaganda message.
