The Waed Captive & Liberators Society in the Gaza Strip is an arm of the declared Hamas Terrorist Organization whose mission is to provide assistance to Hamas prisoners and released prisoners, to the wounded and to the families of Hamas operatives who were wounded or killed. The Association is run by senior Hamas activists and is funded by Islamic organizations from Turkey and other countries.
