In his position as the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, Maxim Ryzhankou is closely associated with the President and responsible for ensuring the implementation of presidential powers in the field of domestic and foreign policy. For over 20 years of his career in the civil service of Belarus he has held a number of posts, including in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and various embassies. As the Minister of Foreign Affairs, he continues to hold a position of power and to implement the Lukashenka regime’s foreign policy. He is therefore supporting the Lukashenka regime.

Taka postawa w obliczu rosyjskich działań wojennych na Ukrainie, wsparcia logistycznego i politycznego udzielonego Moskwie przez władze białoruskie, a także toczonej wobec Rzeczypospolitej wojny hybrydowej stwarza poważne ryzyko prowokacji lub wywołania incydentów skutkujących uszczerbkiem dla pozycji międzynarodowej RP.

    Maksim Ryzhenkov is the First Deputy Head of the Administration of the President. In this role, Ryzhenkov has significant influence over the Belarusian authorities’ response to the post-election protests, including serious human rights violations, the repression of civil society or democratic opposition in Belarus and actions and policies or activities which undermine democracy or the rule of law in Belarus. Maksim Ryzhenkov also plays an important coordinating role over state bodies, including the working relationship between the President and the Belarusian Ministry of the Interior and its internal security forces, which are responsible for treatment amounting to serious human rights violations.
