Likontsev Oleg Valerievich

Before the war, Likontsev served in the police force, was involved in military-patriotic education, and served as a deputy on the Kansk City Council representing the CPRF. In 2022, he volunteered for the war against Ukraine, serving as a senior sniper in a motorized rifle brigade and sustaining an injury near Davydiv Brid in the Kherson region. He later took command of the "Sibir" (Siberia) Cossack battalion. In 2023, he was awarded the title of Hero of Russia. That same year, Likontsev left the CPRF, citing his support for Putin: "It was the president who took the step to defend our brothers, and the president belongs to United Russia."

Member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation of the 9th convocation. This state body is responsible for political and legal support of the aggressive war against Ukraine.
