Summary
In May 2021, a UN Member State impounded the vessel "Kingsway" (IMO: 9191773) while it disguised itself as the "Shun Fa" (aka Apex) with IMO "8528864". According to the UN Panel of Experts September 2021 report (p. 16-17), photographic comparison shows that the hulls of the "Apex" and its former alias "Zhe Sheng 26" are different, indicating identity fraud. The Panel suspects the "Kingsway" to have taken over the identity of the "Apex" sometime after the ownership transferred from Taizhou Zhesheng Shipping to Better Smart in July 2018, when the vessel was renamed to Uni Wealth.
