Devon Freeman

01/28/2025: Between April and December 2022, Freeman forged 21 signatures of four customers on variable insurance applications and other documents, violating FINRA Rule 2010. In December 2022, Freeman backdated one of those variable insurance applications. Additionally, by causing Northwestern to retain inaccurate variable insurance applications, Freeman violated FINRA Rules 4511 and 2010. In addition, from July 2015 to February 2023, Freeman used his personal cell phone to exchange text messages with customers about securities business without Northwestern’s permission or knowledge and without providing copies of the communications to Northwestern. By causing Northwestern to fail to retain his securities-related text messages, Freeman violated FINRA Rules 4511 and 2010. For those violations, Freeman is suspended for eight months and fined $10,000.
